about fuze

Part of the Problem

No federal law requires physical education to be provided to students in our schools. There are no incentives to states or schools to offer physical education programs, despite the fact that better fitness improves academic performance in children. P.E. has no budget in K-5 schools. More than half of school-age children K-9th grade county wide failed all 6 metrics of the physical fitness standardized test year after year. Kids can get "burned out" on playing just one sport or not cross-training appropriately in the off-season to stay in shape. Injuries sustained in school-based physical education programs are up 150% statewide. Afterschool programs are typically underd-developed and overly expensive (and often close down on early-release and teacher in-service days) and kids may find them to be "boring".

Part of the Solution

Whether you're a parent of, or a 5, 10, or 15 year-old yourself, FUZE provides serious fun grounded in the principles of youth fitness conditioning offering inclusive and non-competitive after-school classes, homework enrichment, extended after-care, small group and 1-1 personal training, sports development, all on a flexible drop-in/drop-off membership schedule - all in appropriate age-groups, with caring and competent coaching staff in our state-of-the-art facility.

What's more, FUZE is 20-50% less expensive than other afterschool programs and we even provide for SHUTTLE pickup service from local schools, while making a donation to that school. Simply put, kids that start with FUZE, stay with FUZE, where working out is all play!
